We are proud to be a school in Croydon and endeavour to place ourselves as an active part of the community. We have held and continue to facilitate community events, groups and venture’s and are always looking to expand the schools range of diversity, inclusivity and what it means to be British.
Presently we have 3 churches’, a Tai Chi company and a Saturday Car Boot sale who use our facilities. We also have had Student Achieve and continue to have Make Believe engage their own range of tutoring and classes.
Ark Oval has been used as the base for the Cherry Orchard Arts Festival, a polling station and a base for regeneration consultation. We have also welcomed the Princes Trust who held a scheme for a group of young people to engage with the school by helping to regenerate part of the school field.
As part of the We Sing you Sing Croydon-based music project, we have had pupils join their mass choir and take part in the celebrations to a packed Fairfield Halls. We have also had Croydon Citizens own Tech City founder Jonny Rose holding weekly coding sessions for pupils in an after-school club.
Crystal Palace FC
As a school local to Crystal Palace football club and due to the fact that many pupils and staff support them, we are proud to declare the eagles as the official football team the school supports.
