Muhammed (Oxford), Dilini, Varsharli and Joshua (Cambridge) all took part in Explore Learning’s National Young Mathematicians’ Awards competition on Tuesday 11th November 2014. This is the only team maths competition for primary schools in the UK and is run in conjunction with the NRICH project at the University of Cambridge.

The children were assessed on their ability to get to the root of problems and work as a team. The competition is designed to encourage creative thinking and problem solving in maths.

We are pleased to announce the children got through to the semi finals which took  place at the Explore Learning centre in Addiscombe. We are very proud of their achievements.
