Our Week 21st - 25th June 2021

Sunday 27 June 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are starting to know more about the likelihood of what next year will look like. As soon as we have everything prepared and planned, we will let you know.

Two plans we have for next year:

We won't be mixing the classes for the most part - we may discuss some rebalances with individuals

Staffing plans will hopefully be published this coming week

LINE ETIQUETTE - Please respect each other and the requests of the school

Please use the entirety of the arrival window DONT all arrive at 1520

Respect the line - don't push in - if you are causing an issue in the line, you are compromising the safety of the academy community. We will take the matter seriously.

Please wear a face-covering in the line unless you are exempt; it keeps us all safe.

Please move through the site quickly and do not stop for social reasons or provide snacks or adjust clothing for your child. They can wait the 3 minutes until you are offsite; the people are waiting behind you in the line can not.

COVID Plans:

Please ensure you inform us as quickly as possible if you keep your child out of school with suspected symptoms.

As it stands, the staff testing programme is in full swing. Massive praise to the parents of the positive cases; their swift action and communication helped contain the possible infection and has hopefully shortened the isolation period for Yr4 and Reception.

Attendance Champions

Dahl & Mandela were the best attenders - an extra breaktime for both

Sports day, productions and graduations

We are endeavouring to run these as close to normal as we possibly can do. However, there will be no parents permitted at any of these events. Where practical and possible, we will be providing opportunities for these to be filmed - subject to the correct permissions being granted.

Summer School

As discussed in a previous communication, we will not be offering onsite summer school provision. Still, we will be writing to you shortly with an overview of the provided summer support.

2nd July INSET

The academy is closed on the 2nd July for a network INSET day focused on preparing staff for the recovery and acceleration learning plans in the Autumn.
