School meals

Lunches are provided free of charge for children in Reception to Year Two as well as those families eligible for Free School Meals. If you are not eligble, the price of a school lunch is £2.30 per day or £11.50 per week.

A vegetarian option is always available and the kitchen is usually able to cater for special dietary/medical needs if given advance notice – please contact the school office so we can help you organise this if necessary.

All school meals are ordered online via WisePay. When ordering your child’s lunches you have the choice of ordering your child’s school meals in one go for the whole of the half term or you can order weekly or a couple of weeks at a time. If you decide to order school meals weekly, then please follow the deadlines below for ordering school lunches.

If you do not order your child’s lunch within the required deadline for each week then your child will automatically will be given the main option on the days that lunches haven’t been ordered.

Packed lunches

Pupils may bring a packed lunch if their parents prefer although we would encourage all children to have school dinners where possible as research shows that a school lunch is nutritionally superior to most packed lunches and can lead to improved behaviour attainment.

Please do not bring in products that contain nuts. 

Our Breakfast club starts at 7.15am through to the start of the school day at 8.20am and is led by members of the Ark Oval team. We offer a range of early morning activities and provide a breakfast of Cereal, Toast, Juice, Fruit and seasonal snacks for a charge of £5.00 per day per child.

Some parents may be entitled to receive free school meals for their children.
